    i’m importing clips, dropping them into the sequence and my audio file is from my camera, with two different mics, each on a separate track. but BOTH tracks load onto the same sequence track (see picture)
    , which does not allow me to adjust the level of each mic independently. in other projects i’ve been able to load similarly recorded audio and it goes to two separate tracks on the Premiere sequence timeline. i see nowhere to make the change to always have my mics on two separate tracks on the timeline. help.

    There’s a setting in the software preferences on how Premiere imports different kinds of audio channels. Also making your sequences with adaptive audio tracks would be probably worth it because you can then click the little tree icon to map the channels to the proper outputs.
