Audio too hot, sounds expanded
Using 1.5, importing finished AVIs from Premiere the sound is not only way hotter than my original mix, but even the subtle background music jumps out to a normalzed sounding level during the times where there is no other sound (voice). So not only are the levels nomralized to a hot level the voices sound clipped like a compressor is being applied to the very hottest parts. I’ve been an Encore user for a over a year now and this is the 1st time it has done this. I’ve also brought in AVIs from other projects and it’s doing the same thing. Thanks in advance for your help.

Check your audio levels in Premiere. You want to keep the peaks in the Master track around -6 dB.
