Audio Time Compression/Expansion
Posted by Alexander Serpico on May 25, 2005 at 6:45 pmI thought this was now possible to do audio time compression/expansion in soundtrack pro!?!?!
I cant seem to find anything on it tho.
I would much rather do this in FCP, but can we still not open third party plugin interfaces in FCP5?Come on already…

May 25, 2005 at 11:41 pmHaving played with audio time expand/compress software, I can tell you that there ia a lot of crap software is out there that mangles, particulalrly on time expand. I haven’t heard the Soundtrack Pro version so I am keen to hear any feedback from users.
I use the MPEX2 algorithms built into Pyramix. They are fabulous and capable of expand or compress on 5.1 mixes, keeping all tracks in phase. This is serious grunt rendering and takes longer than play speed to process, even on a hefty PC.
