Hello, this is my first post here!

My issue is, suddenly every time I try to render a video in sony vegas, the audio goes out of synch in the final product, slowly. The videos are roughly 15 minutes each, there is a video layer + audio layer, and then another audio layer. What I am doing here, to give you a better idea, the video layer is a recording of my wii (done with a brand new avermedia capture card in 720p), the first audio layer is that of the game and the second audio layer is that of my voice!

I have tried different formats, I have tried different solutions (some found here) and nothing is working for me!

Both my microphone and capture card are new.. Before I used to use just a standard quality capture card, and it seemed to synch up just fine. Nothing has changed other than this new card.. any ideas?

It sounds just fine before I render it, in vegas.. so I have no idea..

also, I do plan on putting this on youtube once it is complete, so if you are going to suggest a template, keep that in mind. 🙂

I am on Windows 7 64x, running Sony Vegas Pro 10.0…thank you for any help, in advance.

Are you rendering to the same framerate as your Vegas project settings, like 29.97 or 30 fps?

How can I make sure of this? I had a suspicion it has to do with FPS, but I’m not sure how to set that up.

    Right now I am using:
Sony AVC .mp4 “Internet 1280×720-30p”, and in “custom” I have selected “use gpu if avaliable” as my gpu is quite more powerful than my cpu, and does make a difference in render time.

I think the actual video itself is 29.something fps and not 30.. how can I set this up correctly? Thanks

On the render as window, drop down the frames pre sec and choose 29.97

I think it already is.. in the description box below it says:
Video: 29.970 fps, 1280×720 Progressive, YUV, 8 Mbps

You might consider trying to render the video and audio seperately. After doing so, use a program such as tsMuxer to combine them. This work flow helped me with a similar problem using a previous version of Vegas (AVCHD material though).
