Audio Synch Drift
I am having an issue trying to load some footage from HDCAM with a Sony J-H3 deck & an older Kona card in a 5,1 MacPro using FCP 7 to capture the footage.
This has always worked in the past, but I haven’t had to load from tape in at least a few years. In preview it all looks & sounds fine, but when capture is finished I check the QT & the audio is fine for approx 1 sec & then starts drifting out of synch. Have never seen this issue before, so I have no idea what is going on.
Does anyone know what could cause this?

just did a factory reset on the HDCAM deck & that seems to have fixed the issue
