  • Audio Sync When Using Dynamic Link

    Hello,

My audio is out of sync in my final render. Here is my workflow and setup:

    Adobe CS3 Masters Collection
    Windows XP
    Core 2 Duo

    Ciniform AVI file >
Premiere Pro CS3 to edit >
Right-click on audio in timeline and select “Edit in Sound Booth > Render and Replace”. >
SoundBooth to sweeten the sound. >
    Then Save >
At this point, I think the sound is still in Sync.
Open the Premiere sequence in AE CS3 (with audio) to color correct >
    Save >
Open this After Effects Comp back in Premiere (Dynamic Link)
Render to QuickTime using Adobe Media Encoder.

The sound is now out of sync in the final QuickTime file.

My QuickTime settings in Adobe Media Encoder are:
    codec = h264
frame rate = same as source (which is 24p)
    AAC
    44 kHz

My original footage (and the Ciniform AVI file) is 48 kHz. Could changing froom 44kHz to 48 kHz zause this?

Is there anywhere else I should look for a problem here?

I changed to project settings to 48 kHz to match the .avi file. Still out of sync.

The .avi files play in the timeline totally in sync.

When I render out to anything (Quicktime Animation, Quicktime h.264 or Flash)the audio is out of sync by 4-6 frames.

These are also short clips. It does NOT appear to be a “creeping” sync problem.

    Thanks again,
