  • Audio sync when cross-converting 24p sequence to 29.97 SD?

Sorry for the newbieish question, but i don’t often deal with long form video (mainly commercials), so I’m not sure if I will run into any audio sync/drift problems if i take a client’s 60 minute-long 1080/24p quicktime file, and make a NTSC BetaSP dub of it in realtime through my Kona 3 card (playing from FCP7).

I’ve never had an issues with this when working at 23.98, but I’ve heard that true 24p can pose problems with audio sync on longer programs when cross converting to 29.97 NTSC. Is this the case with the Kona 3?

    thanks for any advice
