Audio Sync Weirdness
I’ve been editing short docs and web content in FCP for several years, and this has never happened before – was syncing audio files (spoken dialogue from a talking head interview) to video and the sounds seems to be at a very slightly different speed from the in-camera sound.
Both were recorded simultaneously – audio via lav mic into a Zoom recorder – but when I lay them together the audio is in sync at the beginning of the clip, but completely off at the end. I’m having to go through and re-sync every minute or so of footage as it starts to slide.
Has anyone ever dealt with this before? Anyway to fix and/or prevent from happening in the future? Is this just Halloween gremlins messing with my mind?
