  • Audio sync problems when using Presonus Firebox and DSR11

    Hi,

    I’m using FCP4 HD with a DSR11 to monitor.
    (Mac Dual G5 2GHz Mac X 10.3.8)

I have just added a Presonus Firebox, mainly to get balanced outputs for monitoring sound.
The problem is the audio is slightly out during playback, whilst monitoring through the DSR11.
(Its fine when viewing the desktop)

I’ve looked at the Playhead Sync options but nothing seems to solve it.
The only other option is to use the unbalanced outputs on the DSR11 and get rid of the Firebox.
I don’t need the preamp, i only needed it to breakout balanced audio.

Is this a script issue with the Firebox??

    Any ideas many thanks.

    MikeyM,

Did you ever reslove this porblem with the Firebox? I’m thinking about adding it to my Mac Pro FCS 5.1 setup. I would use it just for adding VO, some crude foley work, and for recording my own music into Soundtrack Pro/Garageband.

Of course, if there is a sync problem in any of those programs, that would lead me to reconsider.

    Thanks for your help!
