Audio sync problems
Hey all. I have an issue that i have seen come up a lot but I haven’t found it resolved. I have a project that has pro res LT vision with audio recorded at 48KHz at 16 bit. I am syncing it with .wavs recorded at the same KHz & bit rate as I do on a daily basis. The problem is that this time the timeline runs out of sync & I cannot figure out why. All the settins seem fine ie 48 bla bla….
Any ideas??

Try transcoding the WAV’s to Aiffs, then syncing.

And read this tutorial, particularly the second half that tells about the correct importing of audio assets so FCP can frame rate stamp the audio correctly. This is such a common problem that this question pops up a few times each week –

Thanks for the reply. Your right that works I tried it last night as a last resort before I received your post.Im unsure why as 99 times out of 100 its fine but hey….. whatever works!!
