Working in a ProRes 1920X1080 HDTV 1080i sequence. Exporting shows for the network on a mini dv tape as HDV in another sequence. Since I captured ProRes footage I have to export the final timeline as HDV 1080 60i in order to print to tape in FCP. All footage except interviews are shot as 60i in the camera (Canon XLH1) but interviews are shot in 24f. On import, the sync is off on the 24f footage by about 6frames. (Here is where the problem is) I correct the audio sync on the timeline and export to tape. everything looks in sync on my end, but when the show goes to the networks, the sync is off. (Do I need to do something with pulldown or anything on this footage) This mostly occurs during footage shot in 24f, but sometimes on other sections as well. Could this be an issue on export since I am using firewire to export to mini dv?
We have to send our shows to a third party media distributor which dubs our hdv master to digibeta in SD, which in turn is upconverted to HD for broadcast at the network, could this be on there end? Any help is appreciated
