    Hello All,

I’m in a bit of a predicament. I exported a FCP 6.0.5 46GB video file directly into Compressor 3, selected MPEG2 150 min best quality DVD format and AC3 as the audio selection. (basically the entire folder contents) and dropped it into the window. Everything seems to have formatted correctly, video was converted to 4.5 GB (good), AC3 converted to 190MB (good). (I think it took nearly 8 hours to compress)

Here’s the problem, when I bring it into another timeline for burning purposes, the audio tracks duration now exceed the video track duration, thus, the audio drifts out of sync after 12 min.

When I chose my selection from Compressor, all settings were left as default. Am I doing something wrong?

As a work around, I exported the audio track separately from the FCP timeline as an AIFF file and brought that into the timeline, just to see what would happen. Unfortunately, the same situation occurred, the audio track once again exceeded the video track length.

    FCP Set-up:
    Frame Size: (960 x 720)
    Pixel Aspect ratio: HD (960×720)
    Compressor: DVCPRO HD 720 720p60

All footage was shot as 24PN from an HVX-200 P2

Lastly…. of course the deadline for completion is tomorrow… Doh!

Any suggestions would be quite welcome 🙂

    Best,
    Jason
