    Hi everyone,

We are having a strange prompter with audio/video sync in a simple show we recorded.

    Set up:
    Basic talking head, 2 cameras:
    1-Varicam 2700 recording 720PN 23.987 AVC-I Intra 50 (close up of speaker)
    2-HVX200 Recording 720PN 23.987 DVCPROHD (wide shot)

After we ingested the content we would sync the 2 cameras (manually) but as we would go further down the line (45 min) the sync would drift by 1-2 second.

The edit bays are all FCP7 connected via a Media Grid, all the software updates are up-to date and match in versions.

Note: We don’t have the original P2 cards so re-ingesting is not an option.

We have done this before and have not had any problems, what do you think might have been the issue? Looking for any advice or similar problems people have seen.

    Thanks for your time 🙂

Check to see what the audio specs are in your sequence settings. There is a chance the k and bits don’t match up? Also make sure the settings you want are set before you import the audio files in FCP – it could be coming in in the wrong framerate.

Thanks, I’ll check the audio settings. Both the card were imported simultaneously so the setting were the same.
