audio sync issues
Hello all,
I was hoping you could help me. I currently am running FCP 6.0.3 on a mac book pro.
I was playing around in Adobe After effects cs3, and exported a quicktime file. I played it in quicktime and everything played correctly (ie everything was in sync)
When I imported or dragged and dropped it in Fcp it played out of sync in both the viewer and the canvas. As this hasn’t happened to me before, could anyone recommend what to do about it? I did try to alter the playback controls down to 0 but that did not make a difference.

Hi Amanda,
I am having the same problem. At random the FCP project will slip out of sync about 7 frames, if I quit out and launch the project again it goes back to normal. It even is out of sync after I export a quicktime while FCP is “sync glitching”. This happens to many of my projects, all set to an NTSC uncompressed 10-bit timeline. I hope someone knows why this is happening soon

Is not a Drop Frame/No Drop Frame Issue?
BTW Amanda, FC 6.0.3 is quite buggy. You should install 6.0.4. Works great with QT 7.5

Are you by any chance using an AJA Kona I/O card?
We had strange issues with sound suddenly going out of sync on the timeline, eventually found reason was that in the Apple system/Sound tab the sound card was set to AJA – changing this to “Digital In/Out” solved the problem!
