  • Audio sync issue when played in WinDVD

    Hi All,

I’ve been making DVDs for a client for a number of years and have not had any sync issues until now. The client used to view the DVDs on a powerbook, but has recently bought a Sony Viao running WinDVD.

The most recent project involved a number of short films on the disc linked by a number of scripts that decide the order, whether they loop or not etc.

The DVD plays fine on my Mac and on my standalone player. It also plays fine on the clients Mac and standalone. But on the Viao (under WinDVD) it plays certain films out of sync.

Any ideas as to why this would happen?

Is it to do with the scripting, or some other factor that WinDVD (under Vista if that’s relevant) doesn’t like?

FYI the audio on the disc is PCM as the client had a bad experience with DD/AC3, could that be the culprit?

    Anyone had this issue before?

    Any help/suggestions greatfully appreciated!

    K
