Anything out there for FCP similar to Avid Adrenaline’s ability to change audio speed without tweaking the pitch? In Avid I think it is called Audio Suite. I need to make a :16+ read fit in a :15 hole. Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Soundtrack Pro can do this has a Time Stretch Tool. It also round trips with FCP.

Let me guess… Soundtrack Pro is part of the Studio Package upgrade which I have not done yet because I’ve been dragging my feet?

Your guess is no longer a guess. It’s accurate.

Not that I’ve checked it out yet, but there might be a time stretch feature in Pro Tools Free which is probably still a “free” download at the Digidesign web site. Download the Mac version.

    Digidesign……a division of Avid.

The best stretch/ squeeze tool is MPEX3 which can be found as part of a Pyramix or Nuendo system. The best Pro Tool equivilent is Pitch & Time, but last time I know of a comparison done, MPEX2 was better. I doubt it is included in Pro Tools Lite. Any change over 10% is likely to test squeeze software. I haven’t tried the Soundtrack Pro.
