    Hi guys

Ive got a Tascam DR70D.. great little piece of equipment. However…im confused about the slate function..

So on the Tascam, you can use a slate audio cue. I have set this que to -18db. However, when I import the file into premiere and play is.. the level of the que is -21db… Arent they supposed to be the same?

I have turned off phantom power, low cut filter etc.. but still the same.. Im not sure what causes this difference….

    thanks in advance!

Hello Allard and welcome to the Cow Audio Forum.

I’m guessing that -18 is the maximum it might be. You may be farther away from the mic or speaking more quietly. Try moving in and speaking louder.
