I am trying to edit a movie from a dvd. I’ve pulled an AVI clip into my sequence and rendered it. Problem is there is a noticeable skip in the audio, about 1-2 skips/second. Particularly where there is music, not so much in the dialogue. It doesn’t seem to drop out completely, but it is so fast I can’t tell. Any suggestions? Please help.

AVI files are not native to FCP and are best avoided — use the free MPEG Streamclip app (available all over the Web) to rip from DVDs and have it export to a Quicktime file that matches whatever timeline setting you desire.

thanks! I thought the AVI might be the problem but I was hoping I could get away with it. Thanks again.
