    Hey everyone.

So I’m working with a unique (for me) situation with a project I’m working on.

For the short I’m working on, the director used lavs instead of a boom mic. We have up to three actors, so in any given scene I’ll have three separate lave tracks to contend with. Now for a single lav track, that’s easy enough, but I’m lost as to what to do when i have multiple lav tracks.

The main issue is that when the director and I obtain picture lock, I’ll be sending this to the audio mixer who will be working in Pro Tools and mixing the audio. It’s going to do him no favors if I put a TAKE in a sequence, sync up all three tracks then export that out, locking all three tracks in place, then use THAT as the take in which I edit from. Especially if he needs to raise and lower the individual lav tracks.

There has to be a solution to this that’s beneficial to the both of us, especially since the footage is MOS.

NVM I figured it out. I’m so dumb sometimes.
