    My SYSTEM

    MAC dual G5 2.5 gig. 4.5 gb RAM. OS 10.3.8
    Blackmagic Decklink Extreme card v4.8b
    FCP 4.5 production Suite
    500GB G-Raid Firewire800
    Decks = Beta-SP, DVCpro, DigiBeta.
    Audio Mix = Mackie 1604 VLZpro

    I am trying to get 2 separate channels outputto tape. I have audio on Ch 1a and 2a . 1a is VO and 2a is the B/roll sound.
    How can I get the them separated?
    Thanks in advance

    Unlink the stereo pair if they are joined (if you drag one volume and they both move they are paired)

    Select track one and press CTRL ,
    Select track two and press CTRL /

    They are now split off to either speaker.

    Thanks for the tip. How do I select the entire track line. I am only affecting a single clip.

    Just click and drag to select all the tracks you wish to pan.

    Don’t forget to pan your mackie left and right if you are going to beta – a lot of people leave the pan pot at center which will result in ch1 being audible on ch2 and vice-versa. Not an issue if you are dumping to DV via firewire or if your beta is wired directly to your dv deck with no mixer in between.
