Audio scrub while trimming?
Posted by Steve Covello on June 8, 2005 at 6:19 pmAny hints on how to hear frame-by-frame scrub of audio while in trim mode? shift+S doesn’t work in trim. No luck in Help. Also, any hints on multi-column sort commands? Like, a) sort first by timecode, then b) by tape ID.
thx – steve covello

June 8, 2005 at 6:43 pmScrub seems to work for me in trim mode. I was able to turn it on and off in View>Audio Srubbing and with Shift-S. However, while I was playing I noticed that in View Menu > External Video the setting was changed to Off instead of All Frames. As a result I couldn’t hear the audio through my AJA IO since the audio was set to follow video and, therefore, was off, too.

June 8, 2005 at 9:39 pmAs in using the Trim Editor window Steve or just trimming directly on the timeline?
When using the Trim Editor there are two preferences in User Preferences which affect what you hear –
Trim with Sequence Audio and
Trim with Edit Selection Audio (Mute Others)If trimming directly in the timeline then it’s not possible to have the audio scrub as you trim back and forth.
You can sort by multiple columns by selecting the first column normally and then selecting further columns whilst holding down Shift.
