  • Audio recording for Canon T2i

Hi there. I got the Canon T2i not too long ago and have been starting to use it for HD video recording. The big problem that I have noticed is the audio. I know there are attachments out there (some that plug into the mic jack and others that slide into the hot shoe). I was just wondering what people are using and what seems to be the best.
    Thanks
    Will

I would recommend you check out this guide about location sound.
When it was posted, I read the article, and I think it serves you as a good guide for understanding what you need or should do.

    Hi Will,
I think that you would be best served by doing a little more research on the net. There is a wealth of instructional information out there on the subject of sound and the DSLR.
If you want to ‘cut to the chase’, then my recommendation would be to shoot with a ‘dual system’. Something like a Zoom H4N field recorder, with or without a decent ‘shotgun’ microphone, like the Rode NTG2.
This is some of the kit that I use, and I am very happy with the quality of the results.
Hope this will help you with your further researching.
    Best of luck,
    Fred
