Audio question in regards to using Shure SM63 with Sony HDR CX900.
So I am still fairly new with the technical side of production. I wanted to get a good mic for interviews at conventions and the like.
My camera is a Sony HDR CX900 using a Rode Audiomic.
I purchased a Shure SM63 with an XLR to 3.5mm audio cable.When I went to do some testing with the mic, I found that the audio was loud, echo-y, and sounded like it was reverberating.
I had no issue with the Rode mic, so I’m a little surprised to be having this issue with the SM63.Does anyone have any suggestions? I do not know where to start troubleshooting here.

Which Rode mic are you using?
The Shure SM63 looks like a fairly sensitive omni.
