  • Audio problem with component out to Marshall monitor

I’ve noticed that I get an audio buzz when I have a mic in the XLR input and a monitor plugged in to the component output. When I plug in a mic in the XLR (1 or 2)input and set it to ‘line’ or ‘mic’, I get this buzz thru my headphones. It’s less pronounced in ‘mic’ mode, but It is still there. As soon as I unplug the component cable from the HVX the noise goes away. I’ve tried running my Marshall monitor on batteries and with a power supply, but it didn’t work. My only thought its that it could be a bad component cable. Any thoughts would be appreciated before I pop for a $50 cable.

    Best Regards

I often run a similar setup without experiencing any noise. I don’t think it is a characteristic of the camera so it could be a bad cable. Best of luck.

    Hello Stuart,

I have two 16GB cards. Did you have the problem? Did you get it repaired? Any additional references to this problem?

    Thanks in advance.
