  • Audio problem when transcoding for DVD

I just set up my Express DV last week and I’m using Sonic DVDit to burn a 1hr DVD program. When transcoding the audio I get this error message: Decoding of audio failed. (DVDErr, -47007) How can I correct this? Did I miss a step somewhere and I guess the bigger question is am I executing the process of DVD burning correctly?

Not sure if this will help, but somebody told me to mixdown the audio in the timeline before exporting it for dvd. Try the audio mixdown and see if it works.

Thanks for the tip, Dan. I still got the same error message. Maybe the audio file is corrupt somehow. I’ve burned other 10-15 min. projects with no problem. How can I find and fix a corrupt audio file?

I don’t think the problem is you. I had to burn a one hour 20 minute dvd last summer, same problem. i think it worked once on the 7th try and never again afterwards. Now I have the same problem again with a 1.5 hour film and a deadline. I don’t think DVDit can handle files that size, no other explanation. Let me know if you find a solution!
