  • Audio previewing a WAV ‘footage’ file?

Huh, thought this would be straightforward:

Opened a WAV file in it’s own Footage window, hit PLAY. Nuthin’. Timeline cursor didn’t move and (obviously) no audio.

Very surprised. Not supported (!!) or (far more likely) pilot error?

Thanks for the hotkey. It’s odd how the timeline cursor doesn’t move in the Footage window. I guess they’ve just never bothered to do it right.

The new version coming out later this month has an entirely different way to preview. Be excited. The core code is finally being updated!

Well, THAT’S good news. I hope it includes timeline cursor movement in the Footage Window, and instant display of Markers.

(Realized as I was typing that footage doesn’t have Markers (tmk only Layers & Comps do) but hey, they could add that too.)
