Audio pops on export and audio mixdown
I am having a running problem when exporting audio or when doing a mix down before recording to tape. My sound track will be fine, but when I export the file will have random audio pops at maximum volume. If I do the export again, there still might be pops, but they are in completely different locations. This happen on most of my exports and it often six to ten ties before I get a clean copy out.
It also happens when I do a mix down before going to tape, but not nearly as often. We use a Kona 3 card and every show has a minimum of a mix on 1&2 and M&E on 3&4. Most of our shows end up on HDCamSR tapes with ten channels of sound with the additions of dialog on 5&6, music on 7&8 and sfx on 9&10.
Cleaning these pop is extremely time consuming and audio pops is the number one reason for programs failing our QA process.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
