Audio plays back in preview even after layer deleted
AE CS3 (8.0.2.27) – I have a nested comp containing a single avi layer (that contains audio). I add this comp to my main comp, audio plays back fine. I time-remapped nested comp, still everything ok. I mute audio on nested comp layer, audio still plays in preview. I removed nested comp layer from main comp, audio still plays in preview. I removed all layers from main comp, audio still plays back in preview. It’s like AE won’t let me get rid of audio.
At this point, I have an empty comp, but when I preview it, the audio still plays back! HUH? Have tried purge all, delete render files, audio won’t go away. Audio present in render too.
Any ideas? Short of starting main comp all over?
