Audio Playback – Playhead jumps 40 seconds when hitting play.
AVID Xpress Pro 5.5.1
Trying to play an audio clip in the source monitor. When I hit play, the playhead automatically jumps 40 seconds down the clip thus playing the wrong section of audio. Even marking In & Out points results in the wrong audio being played back when hitting play In to Out.
Any ideas?

Are you using some else’s settings, or maybe someone is playing a joke? Check setting>keyboard and see what’s mapped there. Try remapping a play button there.
If that doesn’t work, try trashing your MCState buttons (C:/Program files/Avid/Avid express Pro/Settings)
