Have FCP4 connected to PD170 SonyCam which is connected by cable to television monitor.

Have seperate speakers connected to G4.

Is there a way that when I am viewing external video on television monitor I can have audio playback on both seperate speakers and television monitor?

At the moment I have to go to Audio-Video settings and change Audio playback between Built-in and Firewire DV.

    Cheers.

Not without another piece of gear possibly (unless you can split the analog outputs from the camera so they go to the speakers (self powered?) and to Video Monitor… you should take the analog outs from the camera to say, a mixer then from that to your speakers and TV set.

I have one set of speakers (Bose) that have two switchable inputs. My deck is plugged into the “A” input and the computer is plugged into the “B” input. There is a knob on one of the speakers that allows me to pan between the two sources. Both are always active.
