    Hello

    This maybe an unusual question but does every video clip need to have an audio clip placed underneath it on the time as a kind of placeholder.

    I am asking because I seem to remember reading it somewhere and when I see screenshots of timelines for projects..they are all so colorful and symmetrical not like mine…

    For example if you have a character say something and gesture and your next cut is a picture there is no sound under that clip as on the audio level 2 you would have room tone or music so any answers…..

    Not a problem. Audio is layered somewhat like video but which track it is on is not important.

    except stereo vs mono audio is important. audio tracks
    are defined as one or the other.
