    Hi Everybody,
Just did a clean install FCS 3, OSX 10.6.8. I am still having a problem with audio. Everything is panned to the left. I’m recording ch 1&2 in the field and they are both their as separate tracks in the timeline. But when I look at the stereo tab both tracks are panned far left. When I look at the audio mixer it looks correct, Ch 1 to the left and ch 2 to the right.

If the tracks are a stereo pair, then that’s how FCP displays the pan, i.e., it’s showing the pan for only the left track and the right track is the other way. If you unlink the stereo pairing and look at the tracks as individual mono tracks you’ll see that the second track is panned to the right.

In other words you can’t pan both tracks of a stereo pair one way or the other. They can be reversed (+1) or panned center (0) but you’ll have to break the pair to make them both pan one way or the other.
