Audio Outputs
I am editing a sports program for Network & cable broadcast. The show is taped on Saturday night & airs Sunday morning. The question I have is about audio outputs. We output 4 ch of embedded audio to the Digi-Beta. Ch 1 stereo left, ch 2 stereo right. ch 3 full mix mono. ch 4 mix minus. The main line cut out of the truck is not a problem They send the audio the way we need it. When we use material not from the truck is where the problem arises. Say an on-camera SOT, is there a way to route the channel to all 4 audio channels or to 3 of the 4 chs. Right now the only way I can think of it is to duplicate the audio track & route each track to the respective output channels. This is a quick turnaround (We have 4 one hour programs to output each event. 2 separate programs with both a domestic & international version) so I am trying to shorten the process & reduce the problems. When it airs on the network, It can air as early as 9am EST.
BTW the systems used are the latest FCP release with a AJA Kona board. Sorry I don’t know more than that. I have only edited the show once
Thanks
