Audio Output problems – HD Extreme
Hello all, I’m using a G5 with a Decklink HD Extreme card. I’m running the audio out of the computer through the XLR outputs into my small mixing desk which is running into my Alesis speakers.
The audio works fine for FCP and for Itunes but as soon as I open Soundtrack pro, the audio is being processed in the computer (the levels are moving) but no audio is heard. This also cancels out the audio for the other programmes. Until I close Soundtrack Pro the audio won’t work. As soon as it is closed then all audio returns to the speakers.
What is causing this?
The most confusing thing is sometimes the audio does work for soundtrack, but once i open a file it stops?
