I know there has to be a better way…

With my Media 100 audio set at 44100 Hz – its way too strong of a signal for my analog DVD-R machine. To overcome this I have been dropping the bus to about -17 db.

Is there something I should be doing different?

Which system? How is your analog audio set up? Which connections? And why are you using 44.1???

    Sorry about that –

    System M100 Suite V 1 (Intell)
Source In – Analog – using XLR cables
    Convert to 44100 Hz

    Output Kona HHe
    Rate 48000 HZ
    Sync audio to analog

So I guess you are using a Kona LHe? Look in the Audio out prefefences for the analog audio level selection and set it to a value that works with your DVD recorder…
