  Audio out sync in FCP

  I received a source footage as mov in ProRes422, NTSC 29.97fps. This mov shows 24.86fps in QT movie inspector screen when still, and shows 30fps when playing. Audio plays perfectly sync in QT player.

  However the same mov import into FCP and put on a timeline with seq setting same ProRes NTSC 29.97fps results in a terrible audio offsync more than 15sec!

  Can anyone tell me how this would happen and how can I fix it without re-render the footage in QT Pro (I solve it by doing so but rendering takes time of course)?

  I’m using FCP 6.0.5 with 2×3.2GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 8GB 800MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM, footage store in Isilon
