I have been searching for an answer for this without success. We have a new XF105. I recommended PPCS5.5 because it’s supposed to natively handle this footage. I copied the whole contents folder from my CF card to my hard drive. When I imported into Premiere, most of the footage went out of sync. At first I thought it was the camera but when I opened it in the Log & Transfer window in FCP7, it was all in sync. What is happening on PP’s end. I need this to work without some crazy work around.

    Thanks.

Wow! I run that same set-up though with the XF100. Never had a sync problem. I almost always shoot 1080/60i/35mbps. Edit with CS5.5 (and sometimes FCPX) on a i7 quadcore macbook. Simple firewire 800 drive.

How long into a clip before you see the sync’s gone bad?
