  • Audio out 3+4 the same as 1+2?

Posted by Barry Richards on September 10, 2009 at 9:38 pm

Searching yields lots of folks interested in discrete outputs on A3 and A4 but no one interested in what I want.

Running FCP v7 on Blackmagic Decklink Studio Hardware. I want to output stereo audio simultaneously to my analog router and to my edit bay monitors (without buying a DA). I figure there should be a way to cause A3 and A4 outputs to be the same as my A1 and A2 outputs.

    Suggestions?

Have you considered a pair of Y-cords? Or a small mixer (which would cost less than £100).

I don’t believe there is a software solution to this, other than duplicating all your audio tracks in the timeline – obviously impractical during editing. There would be no way of achieving this from a tape deck either.

Thanks for the quick response. I may be able to free up an output channel on the router that would serve as a DA.
