    In the Mac system prefs sound output panel, with the AJA Kona PCI card selected, does the output volume slider effect the audio of my Kona SDI (not AES) audio output going to my D beta deck.

    Yes it does Pete,

    But,

    If you go to the setup tab of the K2 control panel you will notice that you can lock the input audio to unity gain. You have to set your mac volume to 2/3rd or 67% for the output.

    I know Rookie ball from a pro product.

    1.1.4 driver has this functionality.
