Audio only files have no volume
In version 9.0.05, if you have the protected player selected in the Media Playback preferences, audio only files play, but have no volume. This is not the case with version 9.0.0
They actually play if you have the use separate tabs for QT and xuggle selected. Buy they do not if you have the protected player selected and don’t have the use separate tabs for qt and xuggle enabled.
I confirmed this on mine and a clients system.
In the older version using the protected player stopped Catdv from crashing every time there was a hiccup with QT, is this still recommended?

How bizarre. You’re absolutely right, audio only files in the protected player stopped working between 9.0.1 and 9.0.2. We’ll try and work out what was changed and fix it for the next version. Thank you for such a clear and precise problem report!
As to whether the protected player is recommended, it’s not on by default as not everyone needs it, but if you do experience crashes for whatever reason then it will usually sort them out.
