  Audio on plays in one channel

  I have a mono voiceover set in a stereo track that was playing just fine from both speakers (smack in the middle of the sound field). But after I upgraded fro DR 16.1b to 16.1.1.005 the audio only plays from the left channel and at diminished volume. The audio, when played in the source window is correct, the problem only appears when I put the track in the timeline. I was damn near finished with this piece…guess I should know better than to upgrade at that point! But I am stuck for answer. What’s going on here?
