  • Audio off sync for Canon 5D Mark II clips

    Hi all,

I’m working on a programme shot on the Canon 5D Mark II camera. The PAL h.264 clips are converted into Apple Prores quicktime for editing in FCP. However I realise for some clips there are audio off sync issue, such as 1 to 3 frames off. For the footages, sound is recorded in camera, but they did record audio in an external recorder as a backup also.

Anyone encounter similar issue? Any help to solve these random slight off sync problem will be gladly appreciated!

Did you use log and transfer?

No, I believe they converted the h.264 clips to prores using mpeg streamclip software. Is that causing the problem?
