Audio mysteries
I switched from using Pinnacle 9.0 to Sony Vegas MS +DVD. That has gone well but one of the features about Pinnacle I liked was the ability to add copyright free compilations of background music.
One of the videos I have converted to Vegas but I would like to retain the Pinnacle audio. I assume WAV files are switcheable but how? Any hints anyone?

If you have a WAV file, just drop it onto the Vegas timeline.

I have done the same as you and never looked back! The method I use is to open Pinnacle studio and set a piece of soundsmart music to the required length. I then open Wavepad and set it to record using the “What you hear” setting. I then start record, switch to Pinnacle and start the playback. After it is finished I save the track as an Mp3 file which I can then put into Movie studio. For some reason i cannot manage to record from Pinnacle using Sound Forge Studio which is my main sound editor.

Great Kelling, that advice gives me something to get my teeth into. I have difficulty finding, and sorting out the audio files after recording voice overs, and adding background music. When Ed said to simply copy the wav files and paste, well that just is not that easy for me.
I am going to get rolling on this on Monday. Thanks for your advice.
