Audio moving on timeline
I am using OS X. I have 6 audio tracks working with SD archival footage and new HD interviews. I put 2 channels of audio that goes with the footage or interviews/2 with VO and 2 with sound effects. When I shut down they are all in their neat little rows. When I open back up the next day many have separated and now I have 8 or 10 audio tracks depending on how they separated. No, they do not separate in the same way or in a consistent form. What am I missing?

Is your computer possessed?? Just kidding. Are we talking FCP or STP? What version? Do the files move out of sync also? I can’t help you on this, but maybe with more information, someone else can. Good luck!

I had not thought of the supernatural but that may be an answer. I am using FCP 6 and the audio does not go out of sync. 2 Channels of audio will go from track 1 & 2 on the timeline to 1 & 3 or 4. It is not consistent where it jumps. It happens whether it is stereo or not.
