July 18, 2015 at 4:52 pmi had a Behringer BCF2000.
very simple, and affordable.i wound up not using it that much.
the plastic faders made horrible clacking sounds when in automation.
check it out here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGKiRqJe5pwi wound up using an Alpha-track single fader control surface,
which was great,
i mainly needed to ride levels on music and atmos tracks,
dialogue and spot effects, i use keyboard shortcuts for.i dont think either are available other than on e-bay,
but Behringer does have a nicely priced unit called X-Control compact
touch sensitive faders, which the old one didn’t have
i;d check it out before you buy it though, see if the faders are still just a noisy as the old one.nick

It work great and I’ve programmed the job / shuttle wheel and other buttons to mark in/out, play etc.

July 19, 2015 at 12:20 amthe Alpha track had a dial to select tracks.
so in a pinch you could almost work 2 tracks at once, but the best thing about that dial was i’d just spin it all the way up to select a track with nothing, or next to nothing on it.
no more shoosh, shoosh
