Hey guys. I have an old Shure audio mixer that still works except that the headphone output sound thin on the right side. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks. Bob

    What model of mixer?
Some old shure mixes had a MONO headphone output….
Is it the same on all headphones?

Please identify exactly WHICH Shure mixer you are talking about.
Please identify exactly what headphones you are talking about.
Do these headphones sound OK with other gear?

Thanks for your replies guys. It’s an old FP42 stereo mixer that I use from time to time. The headphones are Sony MDR-7506 and they sound fine on other sources. The outputs sound fine, it’s just the headphone output that sounds thin on the right side.

    Here is the headphone circuit:

    Thanks!

My immediate guess would be that C908 and/or C913 has dried out and is no longer passing low frequencies because of diminished capacitance. Or perhaps even C911.

I was kind of thinking it might be a cap problem.
    Thank you!
