Audio Meters in Capture
Posted by Larry Asbell on June 19, 2007 at 12:33 amFCP6’s Audio Meters, which are live during logging, are dead during capture no matter what FCP, Kona or Mac setting I set. Is this right?

June 19, 2007 at 12:38 amWelcome to Final Cut Pro.
The feedback (or lack thereof) when capturing has been a long standing complaint. Monitor your Kona outs and you should know that you are getting audio.

June 19, 2007 at 4:32 amFCP didn’t start out as a broadcast quality system.
This is one area in which it still has not caught up.by version 5 you’d think they could have.
Neil.

June 19, 2007 at 4:31 pmThis is one of my biggest issues with FCP. Not only do the audio meters disable during capture but the timecode display disables as well. Don’t even get me going. Also during edit to tape functions I have no idea where my deck is. Totally unprofessional. You know what they say, “anything with “”pro “”in the name isn’t really pro” end of rant.
