Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Audio Meter effect/plugin somewhere?

    You could, in theory, Quicktime screen record the meters playing the actual music. Then, import that screen recording and just drop it in as another layer.

    Do not optimize the media for the screen recording if you’re on an iMac. Your frame rate will go from around 60fps to about 5fps.

    Fantastic, it works REALLY well I think. Not sure I fully understand “not optimize the media for the screen recording if you’re on an iMac” though… Please?

    In FCPX you have the preference to ‘optimize media’, which converts it to ProRes. A screen recording will look bad if you do this for some reason. Make sense?
