Audio Line Input
When I connect a mic to the audio line in port, the audio isnt recieved on the computer. In the system preferences-Sound-line in-input level window the slider always jumps back to the bottom but even when I slide it back up it does not help the audio, the level indicator does not show any audio being recieved. Any solution?

Input is Line Level input, not Mic level input. Run the mic through a preamp, use an “amplified” mic that provide line-level output, or try one of many USB mics.
