Switched from Final Cut to Premiere. It’s strange to me that when adjusting audio levels on a track, it adjusts levels on all the rest of the clips sitting on the same track. I am familiar with adjusting volume levels withing the effect controls, but it seems limited.

Is there a way, like in FCP, that you can adjust levels to single clip without impacting other clips on the same track?

    Thanks

Well there a few ways of doing it within FCP, do you mean using the pen tool to create keyframe adjustments? or…?

In terms of the keyframes/pen tool, Premiere works exactly the same.

Using the audio mixer you change the Track levels, and this affects to all clip in this track. Changing individual Clip levels must be done in the volume effect in the control effects pannel or in the timeline using the clip´s yellow line. You can also change gain levels on individual clips right clicking them in the timeline and choosing Audio Gain.
